From the moment we arrived, the staff at the lodge went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, safe, and completely at ease. Every interaction reflected their genuine care and attention to detail – nothing was too much effort, and every need was anticipated before we even thought to ask.
The game drives were an absolute highlight. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making each outing both exciting and educational. We were lucky enough to have up-close sightings of leopard, cheetah, and lion, and we sat in awe as a massive herd of elephants and their babies drank from a watering hole just metres away. We also saw hippos, giraffe, zebra, countless buck species, and both black and white rhino – truly a rare treat.
Back at the lodge, the experience was just as memorable. The food was consistently outstanding – every breakfast, lunch, and dinner offered a generous selection of dishes packed with flavour. The portions were beyond generous, and the distinctly African flair in the food choices added a wonderful touch of authenticity. Each morning brought a different hand-selected coffee to try, which became something we genuinely looked forward to.
The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily, and it was clear that the team took pride in every aspect of the guest experience. The small touches – like personalised service, warm conversations, and attention to even the smallest detail – elevated the stay far beyond expectations.
This trip was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I left feeling deeply restored, full of gratitude, and already planning my return. Highly, highly recommended.
